Based in Vilnius, UAB Elektros taupymo sprendima (Ecolight), switched to using LEDs in its luminaires in 2014 and has seen business grow rapidly since then. In 2016 they are aiming to double their annual sales compared to 2015. Ecolight’ success is a combination of an increasing demand for LED systems and the company’s growing reputation as a supplier of high quality LED products.
Ecolight has been working closely with Philips Lighting almost since they began in 2009. “We have enjoyed our relationship with Ecolight over the years, and very pleased to welcome them in June 2015 into our ‘EnabLED Licensing Program for LED Luminaires and Retrofit Bulbs’,” said Frank Bistervels, Vice President of Philips Lighting Intellectual Property.
Ecolight manufactures professional, energy-saving lighting products including intelligent low and high bay lighting for sport and industrial applications. The firm designs and builds its own brand luminaires and customer solutions. For the key LED components, they only use products from qualified suppliers, the so-called qualified components.
“This means we can focus on the design of our luminaires, rather than the technology,” said Tomas Pukas, Managing Director Ecolight . It allows us to meet the needs of different markets and customers with the right, reliable design at a reasonable cost, and to enjoy a royalty-free license for luminaires made exclusively from qualified components. “Also, it simply makes better financial sense to get qualified parts. Their high quality and reliability mean we can offer a warranty with our products because we get virtually zero faults.”
“Being an EnabLED member and using qualified parts helps affirm Ecolight’ reputation as a manufacturer of reliable systems,” said Tomas. “Due to the respect we are building, along with customer confidence, we expect to enjoy continued growth for many years to come.”
